i just hit level 80 with my human thief, and i am confused about how to choose level 80 gear. theres so many items to choose from in the auction house, i’ve no clue where to start. i don’t want to buy an item and then realize later that there was a better option for me to get.

all i know is that i should be gearing up on exotics, that’s pretty much it. i’m a human thief looking for berserker items, pve. anyone able to help me?

Just buy level 8o exotic gear that has berserker in it. This game isn’t about fear grind so just make sure it’s a level 80 item and has berserker stats( power precision crit damage).

The hard part of this game is putting the look you want on it. Since most fear that’s us reasonably priced on the tp are crafted( all crafted goods have te same skin at that level) so then you need transmution crystals to out level 80 gear on a skin u like

I basically farmed cof when I hit 80. Purchased green 80’s and did path 1 twice and path 2 once a day for 140 tokens a day plus maybe a few path 1 a day. Quite a few dungeons have berserker stats. Soni did those and transmuted them to human culture tiern2(working in tier 3)

Ok first of all, theifs are the best, with great amounts of damagae and evasive skills they can really hurt an opponent. Anyway the armor right for a theif is all the way nightmare set. With its gloomy and mysterious factors it includes bonuses on precision and power. The amazing look for male or female really does capture the true potential that a theif can hold. I suggest you get this armor, like really!

Well firstly it is possible to play with multiple armor sets. You might change your build in the future and having different armor sets will make it easier to compliment yourself.

Also picking the correct armor to start off really depends on your build, playstyle and skill.

You can’t really go wrong with berserker armor as it is really helpful in pve to obtain high dps.

If you have a low defense build it might also be worth getting more defensive armor, such as one with power, vitality, and toughness.

If you’re looking for easy ways to get berserker armor I recommend Citadel of Flames runs, or crafting it yourself. Buying off the trading post is typically always more expensive than getting the item yourself.

If you’re simply interested in the look if you just google gw2armor theres a site showing most of your options, although you will likely be required to purchase a transmutation crystal (previously fine transmutation stone) to get better stats. The crystals are not too cheap.
