i play thief a lot lately in pvp but also in wvw , but i could need some advice what build i should use ? i played actually all kind of builds i think except p/d cuz that just looks lame and boring
but played d/p the most ithink . anways do u guys mind sharing ur builds with me ? or wanna train thief with me ? that would be great

thief builds are fairly interchangeable between PvP and WvW, with the added benefit on the latter that you can rely more on stealth, so you might want to dump some points into shadow arts if you like stealth builds. it’ll reduce your burst, but it’ll make you far stronger.

personally, i don’t bother, and go for the standard 2/6/0/0/6 D/P build.

just keep in mind i’m talking about roaming. zerging as a thief… well, pick your poison, any build will suck.

Depends on your style and how willing you are to push yourself. I actively dislike the SA line due to the 1 pt adept sometimes forcing you into revealed because you face a good player.

Most thief builds are viable to some extent. Even VShare is quite powerful in the right hands for WvW.

I personally play an assassination build following this setup as it yields the absolute best possible burst damage on the backstab rotation:
