i just made a thief, im only level 9 but i seem to be doing very poorly on him so far. i feel like im not doing much damage, and im dying way too fast. ive tried out d/d amd p/p builds and neither of them are working for me. what are some tips for pve leveling. tips on 1v1 and when there is a group of mobs. also i need help with using my initiative effectively.

Sorry I have to ask, are you fighting mobs higher than level 9?

That is pretty much the main way I died as a thief.

I went into Kessex Hills with level 14 or 15 thief and the bandit mobs were 17 or 18 and they basically 1 shot me.

If you’re having so much troubles i’d suggest you try with the shortbow, then just alternate between auto attack and disabling shot while circling around the mob; they shouldn’t be able to catch you.

Then once you’lle get your hands on some better equipment ant improved your traits it will start to feel easier.

Shadow refuge is great in PvE once you get it. You can accomplish a lot with that in PvE.

Early levels you’ll need to be careful of the area you are in. Thief is kind of squishy. You may have to run to the other side of the map if the area becomes to high of a level. I never thought I was doing much to mobs if they were a level or two above and they were mostly having their way with me in those areas.
