Hi guys, I was wandering if theres a way to be good at PVE and Wvw on one guy as theif, like some games have gear/build swamp or is there builds that are good for both? and just switch from pve to pvp gear thanks in advance.

I personally run the same build and armor for WvW to PvE. Just swap out weapons, utils, and elites to fit the situation.

As a new thief, you should spend a lot of time in the mists hitting dummies and sparring against the different profession npcs, the whole time swapping out different weapons, runes, sigils, and builds/traits. Only then will you figure out what your play style is and the right build for it.

There are too many exceptions for me to agree with teaching people that, it’s like saying you can’t start a sentence with because.

Well, P/D seems to work well for me in WvW sPVP and PvE. The only problem that I find with it is the fact thakittens a condition build and things like rocks don’t bleed haha. Obviously that isn’t a big deal, it’s just going to take a bit longer to kill those pesky doors and such. But Kabuki is right you need to spend some time to figure out a good middle ground in what you want to do. so messing around in the mists might be your best bet.
