Actually, all such active defenses should be removed, or at least halved. It’s really annoying when you prepare an attack against some noob, and their passives negate all of it, without him even knowing what happened.

In other words, if your awarness is close to zero, you deserve to eat burst. And if it is too hard for you to survive, then either gear for defensive stats or ask here for tactics how to deal with burst as a thief.

We need passives that remove/convert weakness, we need passives that help us to get protection and resistance (even for short time, for example when we get revealed from enemy source), we need passives that allow us to ignore blocks/invuls (even if for 1-2 strikes), we need safe net passive like many other classes have (see endure pain, elixir etc. when you reach low HP, last refuge is garbage (usually kills you instead of helping) and should have been removed long time ago). Passives are cancerous but i highly doubt that Anet will nerf every single class for the sake for thief.
