pve survivability
“invigorating precision” is the trait you are looking for, its a grandmaster trait in critical strikes line and it extremely trivializes most of PvE content for thief making it from oppressively difficult into something pretty tolerable
Pretty much what Lexander said.
Invigorating Precision and Hit’n Run tactics will be your salvation. If you attempt to face-tank for more than half a second, you’ll experience instantaneous destruction.
Also, always circle around enemies. Hug em’, and circle around them. Most mordrem will miss their attacks.
Mordrem Snipers will wreck you with their sudden kungkittenkicks unless you blind them, though.

Give this a try it got high damage and a Lot of selfe healing. The Dd traits Can ve changed to 1-3-3 if this extra survuveability is Not needed. I am doing fine with it. Make Sure to Stack Power with shortbow ( u Can use daggrr/ pistol as well)

Thief is very simple in pve… Just use dagger/pistol, you merely have to use pistol #5 and faceroll auto attack any PvE mob. Perma blind ftw.

Play it zerk, or with some marauder stuff if you feel safer.
Invigorating Precision + Staff + Bounding Dodger allow you to melee big pack of mobs. Otherwise, p/p spam 3 for range and big regen.
Take Unhindered combatant rather than Bounding Dodger for Swiftness and mobility.
Actually I’ve found thief is the easiest class for open world. (Or after core condi ranger)
Even Bristleback veteran you can AFK auto-attack, reflect his Spike Barrage burst and get full life

I second invigorating precision. I run DA, CS, and DD with bound and staff, full zerker stats, and scholar runes. It makes all HoT maps easy mode. Sometimes you will die to a burst if you don’t anticipate it, but once you get used to mobs attacks, it’s fine.
If you want to go the condi route. . . .
Staff with Acro Cs and DD. Will work perfectly for Open world it has Aoe and the max sustain Thief can possibly achieve.
