revealed training
You get 200 extra power for the duration of revealed, you can even see the stat adjusted in the hero panel.
“Gain extra power when striking an enemy from stealth”
You can only strike once from stealth, when that hit connects and deals damage, you loose stealth. Logically the extra power only applies to that hit.
If it applies +200 power while under Revealed it would be a reasonable trait, with the worst description in the game.
dont have a lvl 80 thief but i think Jayden is right, the description is just terrible.
I was testing it out. It as least seemed to me that is was only giving the boost while I was under the effects of Revealed. It’s amazing when facing Deadeye Dunwall, since he has perma-revealed on you.

It doesn’t apply to backstab unless you quickly precast it with mug, so you are revealed before backstab lands. 8% dmg increase for so short time and excluding backstab isn’t worth it. I could consider picking it if it was 20% dmg increase (like executioner), but right now it’s another trash trait.
Are you guys kidding? This trait gives you a very good boost in damage…Just precast backstab and hit steal with mug trait. In pvp I can hit up to 11k on squishy targets… I don’t know why everybody hates this trait.

precast backstab on mug? You mean precast Cloag & Dagger? Or are you using the Stealth on Steal trait?

But if Mug reveals you you will not get a backstab
Or is this some ‘bug’/‘glitch’/‘exploit’?

Mug is insta-cast. You pre-cast backstab and then steal in the middle of the animation. The mug does damage, so you’ll get revealed. Because you’re already in the middle of the backstab animation, you’ll land the backstab damage once that animation is finished, with the Revealed debuff.
As for revealed training in general, I don’t think it’s terribly powerful because it forces you to trait 6 into DA. I can see some application for pistol whip or p/d power builds though. I can’t see this becoming popular for backstab builds because it forces you to trait away from Trickery, CS, or SA. Not to mention the fact that you can only mug every 21 seconds at best.

Pre cast BS into mug, similar to precasting CnD just need to be a bit quicker
It’s not necessarily the same as C&D, backstab depends on being in stealth when you (land the) hit, C&D doesn’t. I’d expect that precasting #1 (backstab) into Mug should result in Mug revealing you and #1 just hitting as a Double Strike. But if it lands as backstab when precasting, that’d be neat, and even neater with Revealed Training, +200 power should be 8-10% extra damage.

Your mistaken, backstab doesnt require you to be in stealth when you hit, it requires you to be in stealth to start the attack. Very different. Start backstab while in stealth, use steal/mug. backstab still lands. People have been doing this since beta same as with cnd….

Nasty. Or neat, depending on point of view. That would also work with Tactical Strike then, another way to use steal as interrupt.
