Hey there,

So I recently made the jump to a stealthless s/d build in wvw both because I’m sick of the “stealth is op” qq and for something new. I instantly fell in love with 30 points in trickery for daze on steal, and trolololing with all of the teleports and evades. However, I’m at a point where I would really like to fine tune my build, and would like some advice.

Firstly I should state that I’m running zerker weapons / trinks and full valkyrie armor, which I am not sure is the optimal setup for running s/d

I started running 0/20/0/20/30 for feline grace, which led to a very very survivable build. However, I found myself having issues applying enough pressure in 1vx situations. I recently adapted to 0/30/10/0/30 which certainly has the damage the keep strong pressure going, but now I find myself missing the extra evades, and getting downed far more often. I have toyed with 0/25/0/15/30 in my head, keeping the 10% dmg above 6 initiative (but losing executioner) in order to grab feline grace. But I worry trying to get the best of both worlds will ultimately kitten both pressure and survivability. I’m curious: what do you guys/gals run in Wvw when sticking to stealthless s/d and why?

TL;DR: I’m a s/d thief in wvw who wants to keep 30 points in trickery and is having trouble nailing down the rest of the build for downing power while keeping survivability. Thoughts? Critique?

Actually Infiltrator Strike, Shadowstep and a full cleanse from Lyssa every 50 sec should be enough condition clearing, so that I personally wouldn’t want to invest 10 into SA just for a trait that is not even related to your build. You don’t have much stealth anyway and your main damage resource isn’t tactical strike, but larcenous, so put them into DA for an extra heal through Mug.

I’d definitely switch out these:
Infiltrator Signet instead of Roll for iniative
Signet of agility instead of Blinding powder

Food:
Butternut Squash (10 crit damage + 100 prec)
or
Orrian Meat Stew (
40% endurance recharge + 100% might on dodge)

Some other things:
Bountiful Theft > Thrill of Crime
Signets of Power > Furious Retaliation
Signet Use > Practiced Tolerance

Para Sigill also isn’t of any use for you, unless you use s/p or play a daze build (which you don’t), so I’d switch it with Sigill of Fire/Air/Energy

So overall I’d say go for 10/30/0/0/30 if u really want to keep the 30 in trickery. Personally I prefer 10/30/0/30/0, but thats just my 2 cents.
