hi
i tried a thief for a few levels and gave up because when i used shadowstep and another similar skill i would end up not where i thought i should be and also facing wrong direction most of the time… now i don’t know if this is bugged or if it is a latency/lag thing but it made me reroll into something else.
question i have is can you have a decent build that doesn’t use shadowstep or if does very little? was it just the weapons i chose? (sorry i forget what 2 i used but i think 1 was dagger).
if so can someone recommend a weapon combination to begin with and what i should consider in the first 1-20 levels or at least the first 10? need to get the hang of this.
I liked playing the thief except for the porting around without knowing where i would end up and having to readjust camera angles – i know in pvp i would be dead by the time i had to get this right. i would plan on using a xbow as secondary weapon choice especially for wvw since you need ranged and aoe quite often there.
