Hey all !! i would need some suggestions for a dueling(wvw,pvp)/roaming build and if you could explain a bit how the build works and if there are any good thief that can tell me how to play thief cuz right now im not really sure what im doing lol anyways thanks

The strongest dueling build for a thief right now is that cheesy 10 0 30 0 30 s/d build

Set your armor for good damage toughness etc

You use fury to get the needed crit chance as well

D/P and P/D thieves eat S/D thieves on breakfast.

P/d thieves do eat any melee for breakfast, aka s/d.

Meh. 1v1-wise condi will eat non-condi heavy players, generally speaking.

Roaming-wise though I prefer D/P or S/D currently. P/D is a tad slow and your runes are either krait or perplexity atm, which means you’re pretty slow.

sPvP-wise I’d pick S/D or S/P to hold a node or something.

I dunno about D/P winning over S/D though. Especially after the crit damage “balance”.

Alright thanks for replying , my favorite set is s/d but i like p/d to except that i really dont know how to use it , but ill give it a try but if you guys have any tips for p/d build it would be nice if you post thanks all

Rofl, the build isn’t cheese. It’s not even good when average players use it, it’s obvious you can’t beat it so you call it cheese. I’ve ran it for about a year now and I can say a lot of people are awful with it and very few are good. Also this build isn’t nearly as good w/o lyssa so please QQ more.

you get the best of both worlds with that spec and it FAR out performs D/P due to D/P inherent weakness

now if you’re sitting here saying that the standard d/p roaming build is better than 10 0 30 0 30 than Ima just sit here and laugh

With in this thread, is another thread which has the wvw version to the build. I layed out the first engagements of how to start a fight typically, and i listed sources of lifesteal. The WvW and PvP builds are different in traits, but in engagement it’s the same, and in lifesteal.
