pve wise.. which one would be better?? normally i would thought hunter wins.. but many people are telling me hunter are worse… confusing..

What are you talking about? Hunter is not a profession in GW2.

In addition this game is less of a rock<paper<scissors set up, and is more skill based instead. I have killed many rangers with my thief, but have also been destroyed by good condi bunker ones.

If you are talking about a ranger, they are very different from thieves. Rangers are a medium armored pet class. If you like managing a pet and having it fight for you play a ranger. If you like stealth and evasion play a thief. If you just want to be OP, then join the warrior bandwagon.

In terms of pve rangers sometimes have a hard time grouping, as they normally run bearbow which dosnt assist the team at all. They can bring some cool perks to the table though.

As for thief, I never struggle with finding groups, but normally only one thief is taken. We fill rolls like stealth ferrying, blinds, and our shadowsteps fir some content.

The class you choose dosnt matter, just make sure it fits your play style. Add long as you contribute to the group in pve no one’s gonna complain. If you stand back and auto attack at range your liable to get booted. Pvp is a completely different story for the two though.

Thief is more fun unless you like pressing 1 and not much else

I have both, ranger is fun and had some cool group utility, but it does get really stale after a bit it’s deff a alt. My thief I can’t leave no matter what clad I try I end up back on my thief, pvp/pve/wvw don’t matter thief is just a box full of tricks I love it.
