tpvp map skyhammer: do the devs hate us?
I guess everyone will just have to switch to s/p now?
It’s a cheese kill map. You either run a build with stupid amounts of knockbacks or afull burst because any other type of combat is completely ineffective.
yeah it’s hectic. can be very frustrating with pugs.
s/p is boring as a tank & the most vulnerable when running a burst spec.
Also, nerfing the return to not break stuns anymore doesn’t help. Maybe if we had stability on pistol whip.
Yeah, I just played this map for the first few times tonight…. It should not be a tPvP map as it lends itself to builds designed to sit in one spot with stability and knockbacks. Takes all the fun out of playing and I was looking forward to some tournaments tonight.
Oh well, I guess I can take a day off pvp whenever this map clocks round. Whoever designed it and set it as a tpvp map should be fired.
Well the map looks like one of the only legitimate uses for the two CC traps and Scorpion Wire. So just do a different build for once :p
Skyhammer is a terrible map for everyone imo.
Ranger pets pretty much useless with the jump pads.
I stole from a necro and then feared him off the cannon and he splatted.

There’s nothing more enjoyable than using a stolen item to defeat the target you stole it from. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
Actually as a Thief I feel way more powerful on this map than somewhere else.
Necro as an enemy → steal → gg up to 5 people (well only 3 is my record).
Then we might not have stability, but we have teleports as stunbreakers,
the work well enough, also you can easily use them to trick enemies on those
breaking glass pads. And don’t forget about needle trap (tripwire?) and
scorpionwire → those destroy enemies and a thief can easily defend a point.
Well for now that is, who knows how much the meta on this map will evolve.
Use dagger storm, dodge to remove the attack animation to do other things while maintaining stability. Stealth otherwise. Good day. Also boon duration for 20% stability uptime.

Using dodge to stop the attacking = you are doing it wrong.
Try a button for “sheath weapons” button, and enjoy way more effectiveness!
I like the map. I can hold the point on my D/P thief. Using scorpion wire in stealth is good fun. I did have some S/D thiefs fly of the map when i went in stealth.

I’ve had sheath weapons bound since launch. I often forget that most people don’t run Uncatchable and I use it to cripple my CC-enraged attacker upon gaining stability.
As a thief, this map is kittening me off already. kitten you devs, such a fun map, but no place for a thief, once again.
Are you serious? thieves are really good here, I only played with my thief on this map and I was always 1° or 2°. And won almost all the games I played on this map. I could beat necros, engi, guardians, etc with no problems. Scorpion wire is awsome on this map, and no stability, well you have dodge, evades and shadowsteps….. Traps were also useful here.
And if you were in CD or something, well positioning was important in this map. As a thief, there´s nothing to complain about this map…
