Yes they do in fact work. They also work with the traps you can buy off the merchant in WvW like Supply trap.
honestly I didn’t even think they would let us have that kind of synergy with a rune after-the rune of evasion
it has a really lame stealth nerf that reveals u- making it unusable
I was thinking for shure u would need to use a utility skill to activate the rune or something really lame
it may be fun to mess with
and at least it may see more use than the rune of evasion

Well I use them on one of my Thiefs. Just a fun game style and laying down two of these traps one after the other is quite effective.
The biggest change IMHO was removing the direct damage of our traps on trigger. This allows you to keep stealth and that superspeed which in turn makes the runes better yet.
they work amazing and due to traps no longer doing damage you also dont get revealed and can basically kill people without dropping out of stealth once.

They do and it makes a trapper build 10x stronger than before along with the removal of revealing damage. Will probably update my trapper build video soon too.

Sad thing is I’m serious. I’m at work so I can’t really toy around and see if this just sounds fun on paper but it at least sparked a few build ideas for me. I’ve been running different variations of pretty much the same D/D spike build for literally years now. It’s nice to see something new floating around.
