Guild Wars 2

I ask this from a WvW standpoint.

is it possible to kill a yak with only ambush trap and needle trap?
just how powerful is the thief you summon with ambush trap?
does it scale with the stats of your character?
how far can you go from your trap before it despawns?

Yak would slap your thief so HARD… !
