Q:
2hs or Ax/Mace for 30+ fractals
I wanted to post “You made it to 30+ fractals and don’t know the answer yourself?” but then I decided not to do it, I don’t like trolling…
I’m asking this to prove a point to a friend.
What is 2hs? dual sword?
In that case i’d say axe/mace has better dps and more uses.
In a perfect scenario when you can always get off all of your 100b swings, probably GS. Realistically, though? Probably Axe.
But don’t hold me to that, I really don’t have any numbers to back it up. Just what I’m guessing from “feels”.
EDIT: This is assuming 2hs = 2-hand sword = greatsword

Posting on the forums drunk is bad mkay…
It depends on the encounter and your group of course. If I feel I can go full melee (ie, a good melee support guardian in group) then it’s axe/mace and GS. When I feel I have the least amount of support it’s axe/shield with a ranged weapon.
Since I’m 30 tactics, I will “default” to axe/warhorn and longbow for fractals. Some encounters always get a specific weapon set though:
Cliffside, legendary shaman: Axe/warhorn+ranged
Urban: GS+Longbow (rifle for last guy)
Dredge: Axe/shield+longbow
Axe/mace with /axe as swap gives more consistent damage but less mobility. GS gives bigger numbers and mobility but the HB root means you won’t always hit max. The axe spin is also a bonus full heal with Omnom ghosts, I find the healing gains to be less with GS. Run both all the time and lately I’ve been leaning towards Axe/xx. Results are same with both gear sets I use – full zerk or knights with zerk accessories
