Sorry but I just had to get this off my mind, most skills on the warrior make sense but then bladetrail boggles my mind, you throw your big greatsword like a boomerang and then it flies back. I just really wonder who came up with this of all things to be a greatsword skill.

I’m sure this is obvious and would be surprised if it wasn’t mentioned before but still. Hilariously odd.

I always save my GS from losing with an expander, you don’t?!

Yes i hate that skill, its usefull but the idea its ridiculous.

It seems to be a skill of Warriors in every MMO ever. At least it comes back, unlike in WoW where it just respawns in your hand.

Its easy to make it a cool looking warrior skill. with right animation.

We all know Warriors give names to their weapons and see them as family members.
right…

So, why not Chain our GS to us.. (its something i whould do irl, since i cant be disarmed then)…
BUT.. have you played LOL. and Jarvan ?

He throws his standard, and can then use his lance to “fly” towards it.

How about modding that idea abit.

You throw your GS into the ground not to far away, (wich has the chain).
And then you Pull the chain…
*Either you can “fly” towards the sword and knock an enemy down on the passing.
*or Pull the sword back, now having a big lump of Ground on it, knocking down an enemy if hitting on return.

just an idea. fun one if you ask me =P

Could throw a chain instead that whips at the foe/comes back to you.

Anet seems obsessed with throwing your greatsword. Mesmers do it. Warriors do it. Rangers do it. Guardians do it (the pull skill).

put a chain on the end of the sword and let the animation be you yanking it back.

Use the force… warriors!

All I can imagine now is warriors slinging around swords on chains Kratos style!

Warriors are actually similar to engineers: they use explosives and non-magical tricks.XD

Bravehearts Mel Gibson disagrees, I feel it’s warriorish but not the coming back part. I think we should have to rip it from our foes to get it back, kind of like Sword OH #4.

@Dolan, I was thinking just today what if they took OH axe #4 out put #5 on #4 and the new #5 would be some crazy chain wielding dual axe combo, then remembered GoW and sighed because it probably would never be.

I like 1h Sword Impale. You throw it, then you pull it out.

Blade trail totally needs to pull your target to you when it come back I mean the soldier mobs in foe fire do it why can’t the GS have a pull?

that boomerang effect is amazing, insane burst comboed with other gs skill

Try this for effect:

• Whirlwind Attack
• Bladetrail
• Rush

You end up slicing through your target, throwing the blade at him, and then chasing him down bladeless only to catch the greatsword and hit him with the end of the Rush skill.

When timed properly, it looks pretty cool.

Redscope you just made my day. That is so cool in theory and landing that isn’t too hard. Props to you.

Obviously you’re not going to try and ‘look cool’ in a bad situation….come on now Daecollo… :p

Wouldn’t mind a rip like attack. Bladetrail hits target and immobilizes them for 2 seconds. Rip it out to cause 6 seconds of cripple and bleed the target.

With leg specialist, it could just cause a longer duration of imoobilize.

A built in immobilize to assist with landing 100B?

The one that really gets me is Trick Shot. It makes Physics cry every time a thief fires their shortbow.

Then again… ever seen an asura warrior do Death From Above into a group of burly norn? Dude!

Well, theorically Asura warriors use exosckeletons to improve their fighting capabilities, right?

Then it may just be that at high level characters use armors so advanced and powerful that your natural abilities don’t count anymore.
