Adrenaline was abused when it did not degrade outside of combat, I remember “killshot warriors” and it was slightly less than fun to be on the receiving end. I agree that we needed degeneration outside of combat. However, the current balance feels a bit too… err… slow? It makes the F1 skills too scarce in short fights, and in those situations, rules out using the class mechanic, which makes it feel superfluous.

So, I propose a simple fix.

In combat, nothing changes.

Out of Combat (ooc)
Adrenaline Bar #3: Degenerates at the current rate.
Adrenaline Bar #2: Degenerates at 50% the current rate.
Adrenaline Bar #1: Does not degenerate.

If you take Berserker, the minor trait enabling you to use berserk and torch will change your degeneration rate. (Fluff reason: the angry Berserker is better than other warriors at channeling their rage into a low simmer to be called back up when needed.)

Adrenaline Bar #3: Degenerates at 50% the current rate.
Adrenaline Bar #2: Degenerates at 25% the current rate.
Adrenaline Bar #1: Does not degenerate.

The Berserker’s adrenaline bar only needs one change to its in combat function.

When leaving berserk mode, if one had any adrenaline left over, the amount is converted back to the standard bar, to a max of Bar #1 filled.

These changes would smooth out Warrior class mechanics between short fights, and would introduce a quality of life change for vanilla warriors. Berserkers however, will get a nice boost in their ability to get into berserk mode sooner, and being less penalized for mis-timing burst skills and wasting adrenaline due to F1 cool downs. (While this mis-timing can be the result of player error, which need not be corrected for, these mis-timing issues can also be the result of enemy interrupts, which feels like I’m being robbed by bad luck. In a phrase: “less fun than it could be.” Saving 10 adrenaline on exit of berserk mode would be a small token towards removing that “robbed feeling” and wouldn’t break warrior DPS output.)

I think having a 10s delay before any decay would be good as well. Have it decay at 1 pt/s after that.

10 sec may be a little to much, next time your running around an expansion zone, count how many seconds between mobs in a string, I like the idea, but we would probably only need a few extra seconds.

I’d propose one more step:

Adrenaline Bar #0: Regenerates at 50% the current rate of loss.

ie baseline one bar of Adrenaline.

This will mostly benefit sets with slow animations + utility, ie Mace & Hammer.
It’s time they had some love anyway; they’ve been hit hardest in this era of stability & blindspam.

It’s hilarious how signet of fury + zerk stance isn’t enough to keep up with the adrenaline degen to activate zerk form out of combat

wait did i say hilarious i mean stupid and depressing

in zerk form too you won’t be able to run to the next mob and use your primal burst – you’ll try to cast it and the bar will pop up, but the degen drops your adrenaline out of usable range and the skill cast will just fail

They need to bring the beserker skill line in so it implements other wep types… Torch is so dam lame…. i play a warrior to use all the big weps (gswrd,hammer,bow). Torch is like the lamest warrior wep ever….. For a caster? yea its cool but a warrior…. i re rolled to revenant but its just too target and push cd for me (easy). Should of spent the money i spent on this xpac on fallout in a couple of days…… mistakes were made.
