Adrenaline meter, instead of bars?
They absolutely should expand on the adrenaline system, in its current state it’s just boring as a class mechanic. As boring as, or arguably even more boring than similar “rage” mechanics in other games.
What you suggest sounds kinda neat, but might be somewhat clumsy to use; you would choose the side it slides to by pressing a button? Could you change it on the fly or would you be stuck with one side as long as you’re in combat?
In my opinion they should just tie more benefits to different levels of adrenaline. For example: make the Adrenal Health trait baseline and make it heal for actually meaningful amounts at higher adrenaline levels. This would give warriors the sustain they are aching for in a way that suits the theme of the class way better than just giving them access to regeneration and/or protection.
Obviously, giving adrenaline levels added effects would require making adrenaline way harder to build (and maintain between fights), but that would only make the mechanic more engaging and fun. This would also make traits that boost adrenaline gain stand out a hell of a lot more than they do now.
Are you suggesting something like what Druids in WoW had during Cata? With the sun/moon slider? Cuz I’ll admit that the current adrenaline burst mechanic is a bit boring. Especially when compared to other professions like Ranger.
