Hi fellow warriors. I guess most people have heard about the upcoming changes in december and are already thinking about what to do then.
I play GS/Longbow most of the time so personally the changes won’t affect me that much but if I run with a smaller group I like to play with my hammer as well and in PvP I have to admit I also jumped onto the FotM train of Hambow.
So it seems ANet wants to make people focus on condition builds and let hammer players choose between damage or control, so I thought lets give the hammer some condition damage as well.
The idea behind it is probably not knew but I haven’t found it on the forums and havn’t tested it out yet due to a lack of money (thx now that I’m so close to the moot and 500g poorer, mace will get nerfed too).
The idea is to play hammer /sword+shield and basically focus on vitality, toughness and condition damage. I just thought about the build like 10 minutes so it won’t be perfect, for example i’m not sure if berserker stance would be better instead of shake it of but hey that’s the beauty of making a build, since you can think about it a lot.

I hope the link works. So my question is,what do you think about something like that. Is it viable? I thought it could also work in a guild group which of course still would have to consist of the other classes and some shout warriors.
Well i’m looking forward to some feedback.

I for one think that 100b should make 1 stack of confusion per hit.

Good idea.

This is not even remotely enough.. Maybe u only play against really bad players but I myself play against skilled players who even switch weapons and use utility skills.

I think it should apply 1 additional stack for each 100b slash. Since we dont have access to a lot of stun, they shall be punished if they eat it. So with 7 hits the enemy shouldh ave 25 stacks of confusion.
Maybe the duration could stack too

Not sure about the sarcasm but stacking confusion with this is possible

WvW. It works in roams and probably small man. I had issues with it before because it was hard to time my interrupts due to terrible lag. Maybe it’s a T1 thing but I suggest you use stomp if you expect to get overrun often, when you get locked down stomp can break stun, give stability and then intterupt your attackers, giving a hefty 9 stacks of confusion for all of them.

my idea was to try to interrupt as many players as you can and stack them with confusion

theyve already said they had their eyes on nerfing these runes. while it wouldnt be surprising if they left the runes unchanged to profit off the condi meta a little longer, its probably unwise to make long term spec plans based on those kind of assumptions.
