I have geared up my 0-0-0-20-30-20 Warrior already, works fine at what he is – Hammer traited, CC with fast weapon switching to use up as much adrenaline as possible, generally tough and with a bit of healing/support. Full cleric set with soldier runes.

Now, I’m wondering… Suppose I leave trait points where they are… but carried an alternative Berserker’s set of armor, switching to Banner for support and healing… would this work for a more DPS oriented build that can be switched to out of combat? Or would I miss the traits too much?

Just thinking about it. My Altitis might be acting up, but multiple characters just to have different builds? A bit much.

(Berserkers suggested since I already have quite some AC and CoE tokens for it, other armors would cost me much more to get)

If you are weapon swapping consider Longbow as your second weapon. Take both Longbow traits and the Boon → %Damage one. Use shouts for Adrenaline and Faster Sigils in the Discipline tree. Shouting between weapon swaps will allow you to use a level 1 Hammer burst inside your level 3 Combo Field burst. You’ll stack plenty of might while pushing out a lot of AoE damage.

You could do fine if you swap to a dps weapon set. It won’t be amazing by all means, but if you’re already in a group with guardian(s) you’re usually better off running with more dps gear.

You could also try 20/20/0/30/0 if you want a middle-of-the-road build that can go high dps or somewhat tanky/support based on gear. I run that with either a zerker set + ruby orbs, or a soldier set with soldier runes, depending on if there is a guardian in the party or not.
