Anet how you effed up Rush so bad
It doesn’t need a boon removal if it hits, it needs that SAB explosion finisher thingy if it hits cause it’ll be a miracle if it does hit and deserves a firework like celebration

I have a question, as I have uninstalled a week ago and can’t test.
Is it failing when your target is standing completely still or only if they moved/are moving?
I can say from firsthand experience when I was still playing that it would only fail when I used it from a distance on a target that was moving, or if the enemy had a large hitbox (i.e. Lupicus). I understand you’re likely only talking about PvP or WvW, but the concept is the same nonetheless.

… I once missed a burrow in hodgins room by a long shot with rush.
It’s just so bad right now. Sad part is it’s been 2 years. Still hoping.

I believe the only way to make this skill somewhat more reliable is to add a small leap at the end of the chain.
~ Its still a sync problem. I am almost a 100% sure of it.
Why else would almost every other leap or rush skill suffer from similar issues of just not connecting to the target.
On top of that, have you guys not noticed that often when you try to hit some guy that is already downed you dont even hit him because he actually lies 10 feet away?
Or that dolyak whose corpse suddenly jumps a full screenlength further down the road after killing it ?
Has nothing to do with the skills themselves.

Oh, couple that with all the performance and lagg frustration that is going on atm.. yup.
On top of that, Anet might not be the fastest with content and other awesome stuff, but bug fixes usually go by quite fast like with that thief bug that just happened after the update.
Of course they wont notice any issues with rush etc on their testing servers because those most likely dont suffer from sync problems.

Because its ofc a leap but somehow this skill has a really small aoe hit box on the last animation.. So even if target is somewhat behind you it still hits

so you want rush to cleave
I dont care what they have to do to our skills so long as they are usable. Make rush and bulls charge cleave, make them leaps, make them teleports, make them make you break dance fight.

lol, radius =/= cleave, have you ever try to heartseek someone? that thing got some huge radius. you can heart seek way over left and still do damage to your target and its single target skill
Add Guardians GS leap animation to the end of the Rush dash so that it has an extra area to correct targeting, in lieu of the silly swing we have now, and slightly increase the hitbox of that slice / give it cleave.

This. I’d rather use it to move to better terrain than close a gap and spend a whole second right in the enemy’s face doing an animation that wont even hit them.

it’s pretty lame, ‘cause or it doesn’t hit, or you are at enemy’s face running for a full second and doing the kitten animation, or worse, you pass the enemy, and run in place for a full second and do the kitten animation for no damage…
same goes for bull’s charge…
please fix this!…
like Julie Yann said, we would use these skills to engage IF they hitted the target!…. (of course, they don’t!)…. Rush can do a lot of dmg, and it covers a lot of distance, but almost always fails to hit the target… so, we are not using it to engage, ‘cause it doesn’t work…
I actually started using a gs again and this was the first thing i noticed. It seems to be about 1/4 that it actually hits and about the same chance that it actually leaves you facing the enemy. The best is when it sometimes doesn’t do the actual attack.
Perhaps if the actual attack was changed from a melee swing to a single target aoe? or just a much larger range that hits behind you also? This way it would at least be doing the damage. I have a feeling the facing the target issue is more of a latency issue.
The bug where you dont actually do the attack at all … yea … thats just a bug =p

Whats even more irritating is that even if Anet doesn’t know how to fix this, they still haven’t found alternative to change how it works,they can basically make the skill hit aoe radius when it reaches target, yeah i think some buffs are in order after the adrenaline which affected multiple skills and traits has been butchered.
