Any viable rifle builds?
Yeah I’ve been messing around with this “Hunter” build lately: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQNAU3XjcOtwJP+OMxBAzDjCqI1D7cLuUBxA-TgAg0CnIKSVkrITRyisFB
Centers around snaring with leg specialist and then DPSing opponents down with the two highest coeficient burst skills in rifle and axe. Completely glass so you’ll eat it frequently if you get caught out of position, but man it’s a blast when it works and you’re sniping people for half their health bar!

Personally I prefer having 10 points in Arms so you can have Crack Shot, piercing shots and a cooldown reduction are really good. Especially when you’re hitting multiple people with Killshot and Volley.
I’ve seen some rifle/longbow builds before that were pretty decent, at least in a hotjoin environment. But I don’t know what they are.

Crack shot requires 20 pts. You have to give up either berserker’s power and 100 power or burst mastery and 10% crit dmg. Piercing shots are pretty useful but enough to justify that?

Yeah leg specialist is really the linchpin of that build, and when you’re full glass some control is really necessary to bring along, both for offense and defense.
If you really wanted Crack Shot I’d substitute all 30 in strength for 30 in arms to get Furious (or Last Chance post-patch), along with either swiftness or vuln on crits at adept. This would be splashing in condition damage for a more hybrid DPS though.

I meant 10 more in Arms, as he already has 10 there. Honestly I’d have to say yes, at least in my opinion. Killshot and volley are already going to wipe the floor with whatever they hit. You can have an extra 15% damage on one target at max Adrenaline and be a bit more conservative with it, or you can have the option of hitting multiple targets and doing more damage overall. Personally I’d rather be able to pressure more than one person or even kill more than one person at a time than have an extra bit of damage added in.
