Guild Wars 2

I’ve been very bored lately and decided to make a warrior tank/regen build focused on running head on into a Zerg and soaking up a lot of CCs… Although I acknowledge I am literally doing barely any dmg I found I could rez others whilst taking a lot of hits etc and it also helped encourage the rest of a Zerg to ‘push’ with you because you’re eating many CCs that would otherwise make others feel discouraged/retreat.

I have tested this build using only Exotics and it’s fun at times but I’d like to know – has anyone done full ascended Nomads with infusions? (Exlcuding trinkets) and give me your thoughts on it or how you utilized it to be effective.

I do like to min/max things when it comes to builds.

Feel free to discuss this topic in regards to Nomads gear otherwise let me know what builds can make the most use out of Nomads.

Make sure to get Mercy Runes then.

I, personally, feel like ascended is an extreme waste in wvw. You arent doing high level fracts so its pretty useless. the stat gain is pretty low, maybe 20 points here or there.

Isn’t a guardian better for that?

i have a pal with a nomads/clerics guardian. he says it takes over 10 people to take him down. idk about that, but it’s tanky as hell and does great heals.

The 30 toughness from infusions and bit of extra stats/armor from going to ascended from exotic isn’t going to make a noticeable difference.

I would only get it if you are rich and want the peace of mind that you are the tankiest possible warrior in the game.

You get some free nomad’s ascended trinkets for doing the living story achievements from the first 4 episodes of season 2 btw

I personally think going full defense with your stats has only a few uses:
(1) Staying alive longer as a Commander.
(2) Playing support.
(3) Being a Ranger because you can still deliver a glass cannon pet to someone’s face since Ranger pet stats are independent of Ranger stats.
