Below is a link to my current WvW Condition Warrior build:

So far it has proven very effective in both 1v1’s and 1v2’s. I find this build fun and easy to solo-roam with, as the swiftness is very consistent, especially if you switch to Warhorn every now and then, although this is probably not even required.

Key Points of this build:

- This build is not a hybrid, it focuses mainly on condition damage only.
- Boasts a high base critical chance, further enhanced by almost permanent fury.
- Adrenaline build up is very rapid in this build thanks to ‘Cleansing Ire’ and ‘Berserker Stance’ as well as inspiring shouts with ‘Fear Me’
- Condition cleansing in this build is quite efficient, again due to ‘Berserker Stance’ and ‘Cleansing Ire’ but also due to the armor Runes, whereby every time you use the Elite Signet, you lose all conditions and gain all boons for 5 seconds (very effective).
- This build has very high armor, making you quite tanky.
- 50% base condition duration + Deep Cuts = 100% Increase in bleed duration.
- Utilizes torment, bleeds, burn, cripple, blind and Immobilize. Can also utilize poison if you decide to use the Sigil of Doom on one of the swords.
- If you do not mind a full CD on ‘Fear Me’, you can take ‘Leg Specialist’ instead of ‘Lung Capacity’, for increased immobilization, which would work very well with the ‘Opportunist’ trait in Arms and with the final attack on the sword 1 skill.

Note: This is a build in testing, and if you have any improvements or opinions, please feel free to discuss.

I have been through a multitude of condition builds; including the use of perplexity runes, a mixture of runes to increase bleed duration’s, as well as ‘Antitoxin Runes’ which are kind of like the Melandru for condition damage (which were quite good)… although I usually stick to rapid stats.

It would be nice to see what you guys think of this build; and perhaps post your own Warrior WvW Condition Builds, because there are many condition specs a warrior can utilize and although mine may not be anywhere near the best, I do find it enjoyable.

Again, sorry if this is simply a re-post of an old discussion, but I thought I would bring it to light because I believe warrior condition builds are very viable!

Thanks,
Apherion V

Hello,

Thank you for submitting your build. I myself like playing condition/hybrid warriors, so have taken a close look. All in all, I believe that the build you have proposed should be rather good and effective. I like many parts of it, however I have some remarks in certain areas of the build. You’ll find them below, in the hope that they can trigger useful discussions.

The first thing that I’m not sure of, is the level of critical chance. Condition damage is not subject to critical damage, therefore critical chance appears to me as limited usage: “Precises Strikes” adds bleeding, and the signet of Torment adds torment, both on 30% chance upon a critical hit. While this is not bad, it seems to me that the significant investment in precision (rabid gear rather than dire gear, “Opportunist”) may not be profitable enough, especially when it compares to a direct damage build.

The second thing which made me think, is the usage of “Fear Me”. Of course, I understand that this skill is a source of great enjoyment for you, so I would not remove it. However, you invest as much as two traits (“Lung Capacity” and “Inspiring Shouts”), just for it. Again, this looks not profitable enough. I wonder if you have tried shout builds, with “Vigorous Shouts”?

Lastly, while Lyssa’s elite is quite formidable, most of its other properties (precision and boon gain on heal) look less interesting in the current approach.

I’d like to suggest a variation based on the following aspects (still preserving the gameplay that you like):

  • Invest 30 in Tactics, so as to get “Vigorous Shouts”, and equip one more shout (for instance “For Great Justice”, which would give you might). This way, you’d also have access to “Quick Breathing”, in the cases where you want to equip a warhorn, and “Shrug It Off”, for automatic condition removal.
  • Exchange the rune of Lyssa for the rune of Antitoxin. You know that one: you’ll get some additional condition damage, and will make a bit for the loss of condition removal by the gain of reduced condition duration.
  • Going from rabid gear to full dire gear could be possible, but would not work well with your sigil of torment, so I’d leave most of it (simply changing trinkets), unless you want to try another sigil.

So, the proposed variation:

You raise some very interesting and logical points. I too believe that perhaps this build does contain a bit too much critical chance… that is of very limited use in this build.

I also agree with you regarding the overkill of shout based traits… when I only use a single shout. I will look into this based on your recommendations.

I just find ‘Fear Me’ to be very effective against foes that kite a lot, as well as strike from a variety of angles (e.g. thief’s and some rangers), as it provides me with a way to create some distance and utilize my bow skills effectively.

I have definitely considered the use of antitoxin, for the extra condition damage and effective condition removal, perhaps giving me more of an edge when against other condition damage focused classes.

Overall, I will definitely take into account your considerations and modify my current build to utilize its given advantages; but needless to say, you have raised some very valid discussion points and provided a build that looks rather promising.

Thank you!
