Guild Wars 2

First of all, i don’t main warrior but i find it a very fun class to play, berserker even more so. (pve wise of course)

But when mousing over Arc divider (the berserker GS burst skill) it mentions that it’s a fire field, even though the animation doesn’t make it very clear nor have i ever seen it combo.

So, is this merely a tooltip error of a previous idea that got scrapped (as mentioned by some guild members) or is it a bug and should the, albeit very short, fire field still be a thing?

It doesn’t need to include the burning condition if it was up to me, just the idea of a spammable, short lasting but potentially useful combo field should be appealing enough.
Even though i know berserker kinda has enough access to them (longbow much?)

Thoughts?

Actually, I was thinking about this too few days ago, but I assume that the fire field lasts for too short to be practically useful…

it used to do condi damage with fire field, they changed it to direct damage more..and removed the field

I see. Still makes me kinda sad to see missed potential. Guess they’ll remove it from the tooltip someday.

Also, pardon my ignorance, but what exactly does arc divider do that arc slash doesn’t do apart from more range?

Well when you want to execute someone, but they are out of range…. MOAR RANGE! That is all I’ve ever noticed using it.

And its great at doing that tbh, the moment the thief thinks he’s safe coz hes out of melee range and u whip out an 8k arc divider <3

It’s just an old tooltip that they never removed. The original version of Arc Divider during the beta weekends was Arcing Sear, which dropped a fire combo field on use. They changed it to Arc Divider before launch, because a lot of us (including me) griped about having a condi burst attack on a power-based weapon.

Kind of off topic, but I really love these names lol, Arc Divider just sounds… Final Fantasy-esque in an awesome way
