When I got gears for my warrior a year ago, Divinty was “the thing”. They were a couple of gold back then, so imagine my shock coming back to the game with them being 9 gold.

It’s clear that Scholar is now the PvE DPS runes but I’m not sure what runes people run for PvP. I only do PvE for now, but would like to start looking into PvP. Are these stil pretty decent all around runes or should I be getting 2 sets of gears with Scholar on PvE set and something more defensive on PvP set?

If you wanna go pure damage, you might want to check out Ruby Orbs, which you can also put on armor, not as much power as scholar runes but more crit damage and precision on them. And at 9s each quite cheap compared to 3g for a scholar rune.

For wvw the most commonly used runes are melandru and lyssa for condition negation/removal for roaming or soldier runes with a shout heal build when you run with a group.
