Are the new Traits a nerf for Warrior?
no its not a nerf to warrior. in a couple places u are forced to take one trait over another. like u cant take like hammer mastery + burst mastery or dogged march + shield master. But its not as if anet went out of there way to do this to warrior. I could be wrong but warrior seems the least affected by these changes compared to what I saw from other professions.
U need to think about it in new ways. U can take shild mastery over dogged march but then u get the new warrior sprint and can take warhorn + passive shake it off now. where before u couldnt. and they have reworked mending now so mending might be really good over signet.

Thank god man. He is only level 65 and I’m completely in love with him.
NO, the new Warrior traits are not a nerf to warrior, and for a few things its a straight up buff.

As a matter of fact, warrior will receive some nerfs.
Not being able to take the Reflection trait and Dogged March is a direct nerf to Mace/Shield+GS builds.
Not being able to take Merciless Hammer and Burst Mastery is a direct nerf to Hambow.
Not being able to take Crack Shot and Warrior’s Sprint is a direct nerf to GS/Rifle builds.
Nerfing the passive of HS is, well, a direct nerf to HS…
So yeah, we do receive nerfs, there is no denying.
However, don’t fear, your warrior will become way more powerful. Because for the minor things we lose, we will mostly gain a lot of sorely needed damage in return. And hopefully, they will adjust our healing skills in such a way that we get more viable builds without being forced to take HS. By the way, the active of HS is getting buffed, so there is that to counter the passive nerf.

I always rage but never quit.
I could see someone running regen banner, shout bow with the new traits. Throw in wh and trooper runes and they could be an almost unstoppable tank for holding points

I guess with all that being the case maybe I’m in a good position of not being used to the current HS “meta” for warrior.
The new traits are MASSIVELY buffing warrior overall, especially in PvE.
While current builds might get a nerf if left in their current state due to the new trait lines. The idea of 666 builds will open up some new possibilities which will make some really strong builds. The question is, will those hold up to what other professions are getting?

Might be wrong, but the number on the “nerf on HS” on stream was like what 10hp/s? + when you use it now you are immune to conditions for 6 seconds? And the active heal is larger?
I fail to see the nerf.
HS + Zerker stance, I hear the necros crying already.

Shoutbow will become legit broken with Brawler’s recovery and traited EP.
DPS Warrior on the other hand? It’s getting buffed but it will either be hit or miss depending on how they execute this power creep.
I’m hoping the Warrior elite spec won’t screw over balancing and revive the fun that I had back in the days where Quickness was 100% attack speed increase.

They only nerfed rifle specs, but that’s it.
