I’ve been spending weeks trying to nail down a character to really focus on and main (something you pretty much have to do nowadays due to laurals). Thing is, I’m stupidly indecisive. I think I like Warrior best, but my main issue is how they seem rather… simple. Compared to others. Was mostly wondering if those here are happy with their warriors, and indeed, if they main the class over others.

I love mine, have over 1400 hours played on it. Made dozens of builds for it, costs me a fortune, but there are so many possibilites to explore especially now that we got some buffs. It opened up a lot of builds that just weren’t viable before.

If you wouldn’t mind, could you give me some examples. I suppose maybe my imagination is a little stagnant from all the alt making, but the Warriors traits seem pretty cookie cutter basic to me.

It’s all about the weapon swapping and how some weapons synergise well with others. Now the we have cleansing Ire, Dogged March, improved healing signet and the new perplexity/torment runes we can have viable bunker type condition or CC builds instead of your typical zerk GS-Axe/mace or mace/shield-GS (speaking PvP, WvW). PvE dungeons still require us to go full DPS, but for solo PvE there are a lot of interesting possibilities. Have you tried the Guardian, similar playstyle as the warrior but with more support variety where as warrior is mainly about putting on the hurt.

I love my warrior. I played for a long time with a necro but warrior gives me way more options and is simply a ton of fun no matter what situation i play in. I lve it so much that i have created and deleted about 8 alts because none are as good or fun as my warrior.

After playing as every class except necro, warrior is one of the 3 classes that I actually still enjoy playing as. The rest have gotten boring to me, but I always find myself coming back to warrior. Warriors are necessary in just about every group. I like feeling useful and not be a burden to my team. Warrior isn’t my main but I have spent hundreds of hours on it and have quite a few different builds for it.
