Is it the consensus that zerker armor and weapons is the way to go for warrior even when not necessarily playing a “zerker” build? I am ready to blow some gold on a set of armor and weapons, but wanted to make a good choice.

I don’t believe in that.

Knights Armor
Zerker Weapons
Mix of Knights and Zerker Trinkets

The toughness you gain from Knights is very noticeable and you still gain precision out of that set.

You decide if you want to go full zerk or mix and match. After spending tons of Gold, karma and grinding fractals, I think I found my comfort zone in being a tough, damage dealing Plant Head (I play Sylvari :p )

Helm, Coat and Legs – Knight
Shoulder, Gloves, Boots – Zerker

Weaps are all Berserk.
Trinkets are a mix and match of Zerk and Cavalier

I would say get both sets. Knights is loads of fun, but for those harder dungeons you will want the nice DPS boost of zerkers gear. If you are a member of the vigil, the zerkers set is like 8g if memory serves

For PvE: Yes. There’s no point getting anything else.

For PvP: No.
