I’d like to use some karma to gear my level 80 warrior with a power build. I think I want to use Orr vendors in the temples, but it looks like Berserker armor comes with Grenth runes? If i settle for melandru’s rune, then I get magi’s armor?

I’m a noob and figure that I’m missing something, because that sounds really odd.

what is the best armor set bought with karma for a power warrior?

or am i supposed to get the armor, then pay through the nose for runes?

Get the Berserker set and then pay out for the runes. If you’re totally broke, go for something like Privateer or Ogre runes until you can afford to upgrade.

Also, is your IGN your… serial number?!

Also, don’t put expensive runes in Temple karma armor. You won’t be able to get them back should you need to.

Go with the cheap option for runes until you can afford/craft normal armor.

Iirc, you can salvage them out now. You can certainly salvage runes you’ve added to wvw armor, as of several months ago, and I believe the same is true for karma armor.

Your forum name is usually your account name in-game (something you choose when you install the game, plus a four digit number that automatically gets assigned).

I’ve never seen a serial number as a name before… maybe customer service can sort that out for you. It’s certainly not conducive to forum or in-game conversations.

Buy a cheap rune from the TP, apply it, and then try to salvage. Iirc, you can’t salvage wvw armor for mats or anything else, but you can salvage stuff you apply to it after the fact.

Might be the same with karma armor.

I just gave that a go, and it still didn’t work. Sorry, Choppy, but it seems that temple armor is still a black-hole for runes.

edit: @OP: Put in a support ticket for your account name. Your serial number should not be showing on the forums. It happens to some new players occasionally, and it can be fixed.

Ah well, then to the OP (who’ll be henceforth known as Serial.Number), do as EW suggests and don’t spend huge money on the runes you put on your temple armor if you think you’ll want to use them on different armor later.

Note: The only reason you’d want to swap is if (1) you’re upgrading to ascended armor down the road, or (2) you decide the armor stats aren’t right. You can always use transmutation charges to change the look to whatever you want without salvaging.
