I really don’t like my character running around in a huge set of plate armor. I would like to find an armor that looks more like the medium armors, like the swindler’s armor.

The gladiator rare armour you get from crafting looks more like some kinky chain fetish lingerie, but I don’t know about similar stuff to that

probably the closest you can come to that look in heavy armor would be the crafted banded mail for chest/legs with crafted chainmail for shoulders/gloves/boots. Still wont be perfect but with the proper color pallet probably the best you can hope for.

Then you’re playing the wrong class, I’m afraid. Heavy’s gonna be heavy.

i used gladiator set, with barbaric leggs and wvw gloves- looks more like light
another nice set is the Arah dungeon one.

Karma Pit Fighter – looks like roman armor – cheap skin with a good look. Also, and somewhat unrelated, the karma plated set (also drops from the storyline) died celestial and abyss = stormtrooper armor

The Vigil’s armor set has a lighter look, as (I believe) do the other two orders’ heavy armors. A combo of Vigil and some other things is what I’m using for my female Norn when I take her out as a sniper in WvW.

As a side note, you can go to the pvp lobby in the mists, go to the pvp lockers, and preview a lot of the armor sets in the game. They go by different names, but you can always google the names they go by in there and probably find what they correspond to in pve.

I’ve used that method to compose and collect several armor sets I like the look of. Good luck!

I use the craft exotic draconic armor, it looks lighter compare to most heavy armor, if possible, change the legging to another armor set like arah legging, the overall weight will be look a lot light….
