Guild Wars 2

I was wondering if Greatsword and Rifle are a good combo? I like those alot, but don’t have the slightest idea how to best utilize them in PvE.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

they are both power based weapons so they scale with the same stats (power, precision, critical damage). but they dont offer any good combos imho, rifle also can hit only 1 target without the rifle trait. Greatsword is a good weapon for starting because of big damage and a free dodge on whirlwind, rifle seems more a pvp weapon to me, but i dont have a ton of experience with it. i would suggest axe / shield for more damage / some protection – or especially longbow for 2nd set in PVE as it provides the warriors best ranged AOE damage and can setup combofields for greatsword.

Are Axe/ Longbows Power based also?

If you wanna laugh at PvE the combo is Greatsword and Longbow. Very high damage and AoE at that.

Gear is all offensive (Power/Precision/Critical damage) and until level 80 you can simply use all Signets (including healing signet) and the Arms trait “Deep Strike”.

This has been recently nerfed, so you won’t be as powerful as before the patch, but you’re still the closest thing to a god and you’ll need to mess up hard to die at all. Enjoy.

I’m trying different combinations now to see which I find fun, thank you for all the info.

What are some good professions that compliment the Warrior in terms of upgrading gear, making money and/or my own bags?
