I very much appreciate the concept of the Warrior class in this game and wanted to roll one. I’d like to distinguish myself from the 353,000 GS Warriors out there (not that there’s anything wrong with that ;P). What i’m aiming for is a hybrid I suppose, with decent survivability and solid mobility, focused on WvW. Made some adjustments based off of some of the suggestions in the thread. This is what i’m looking at as it stands now:

For gear, i’d be using a mix of Knights, Valkyrie, and Berzerker. Soldiers Runes, and not sure about Sigils just yet. Any criticism/advice is appreciated and strongly encouraged.

replace Warhorn with something else (axe of mace), if you want more swiftness (i thing 39s from signet of rage is enough) replace Fear me with banner
also your build depends too much on adrenaline, before you are able to profit from it the fight is over (in 1vs1 or small group), also if you are using shield take Missile Deflection, its fun to see Ranger killing himsefl with Rapid Fire

Reasons you should NOT go with the Tactics tree:
I’d suggest just putting only 10 points in Tactics for Leg Specialist then put 20 points into Defense for Missile Deflection & Shield Master or Last Stand.
Im using defektives axe/mace | sword/shield build and its kind of fun.
(except i changed utility around to suit me and kept soldier runes)
Reasons you should NOT go with the Tactics tree:
- The Minor Traits in the Tactics tree are garbage right now.
- Warriors already have a high health pool so Toughness is more beneficial than Vitality (especially since you’re mixing Berserker and Valkyrie into your Knight as well.
- Without any Healing Power, those shout heals would barely heal at all.
- With your even higher health pool from the extra Vitality, your heals will only heal you for so much – so that extra health pool becomes negligible.

Makes sense, thank you for the advice. After looking at those minors…yes, they are terrible. Adjusted the build in the OP based on recommendations. What do you guys think about losing Sharpened Axes and going for Defy Pain in Defense? Will there be a need for furthering Adrenaline generation, or do I get more bang for my buck going for Defy Pain (or maybe even Spiked Armor)?

i love the reflect while blocking trait, note, skills that only block a single attack dont end if you are only reflecting projectiles. They keep channeling until the skill ends from duration or a melee attack hits you.
If you see GS in wvw alot its becuase of its mobility. Multiple mobility skills for a melee character = more kills. I tried to love my axe/shield warrior in wvw but ended up using my rifle 75% of the time. At that rate i decided to make a GS mesmer. I die a whole lot less and kill so many more. Not to discourage you from making your play style happen or anything ;-)
i think that last stand is a must for the warrior in WvW
if its mobility you want then the sword does this much better then the axe does.
a 900 range leap on an eight second cooldown. an aoe cripple (debatable whether this is better then throw axe) and i know a lot of people don’t believe it but the sword has very very good ratio’s. you won’t be doing that much less damage then with an axe, and probably better sustained damage over time.
