Axe damage, seems lower.
I found another weird problem.
At level1, my axe auto attack does 40 damage.
At level7, with the same gear, my axe auto attack still does 40 damage.
Depending on where you are at you may have been downleveled.
My axe is doing the same damage as it has been.

damage is more gear based than level based and if u in same area you get down leveled…
In fact when I get downleveled from lvl7 to lvl6, my damage actually gets lower than it is at lvl1.
At lvl1 my damage is 40.
At lvl7, downleveled to lvl6, my damage is 38.
So when I get downleveled from level 7 to level 6, my damage drops below to where it
was at lvl1. And as I level up, my damage stays the same despite my power increasing.
How can that be right?

They tweaked downleveling in the update today.
I just went to WvW, and as my power went to 2200, my damage only went up to 93.
At 50 power, I get 40 damage.
At 2200 power, I get 93 damage.
???

That really doesn’t explain what’s going on, getting downleveled from lvl7 to lvl6,
should not drop my damage below to that when I was lvl1.
When I got downleveled to lvl2, I only did like 3 damage per hit anymore. At level 1
I did 40, yet when I get downleveled from 7 to 2, I do 3 damage instead of 40.
And increasing power from leveling, should increase damage too, right now it just
stays the same, the power gained from leveling has no effect on damage right now.

Well yeah, that seems really broken. Your first post didn’t really describe the issue adequately.

“Attribute calculations for dynamic level scaling have been rebalanced. In general, this means weaker when adjusted down, stronger when adjusted up. Rewards when adjusted down have been increased to compensate. It is now possible to receive your own level of loot from any level of enemy. "

Your base damage decrease because it should be compensated by your gear.
Played the whole morning with an axe, no problem whatsoever. fractal or level 25 map. I clearly damaged less in the level 25 map than before, which is just fine to me because I didn’t like 2 shoting things.
