What are the strengths/weaknesses of each set in PvE?
Is one or the other more compatible with the LB or GS?

Just switch whenever you need to, CoE p1 last boss Mace 5 is very nice, on Lupicus Shield 5 is very nice, and nothing stops you from using 100b and WW when they are off cooldown with GS while still auto attacking with axe, and when you know the boss is ranged just switch to rifle+longbow, its wrong to not carry more weapons than you can equip.
