[BUG] Arcing Slice
How did you test this? Didn’t know about this bug.
its like Arcing Slice is not a GS skill.
just go and test it, it wont increase 10% in damage with Slashing Power, it wont give you Might on crit with Forceful Greatsword.
Arcing Slice is not a GS skill, it’s a Burst Skill (“F1”).
Arcing Slice is not a GS skill, it’s a Burst Skill (“F1”).
It is a great sword bust skill and as such should benefit from greatsword traits.
Arcing Slice is not a GS skill, it’s a Burst Skill (“F1”).
Killshot pierces if you have Crack Shot traited.
A short test in Hotm suggests that Burning Arrows increases the damage of Combustion Shot but it wasn’t very thorough.
Maybe someone else can test Merciless Hammer and Sundering Mace.
Either there is a bug with Arcing Slice or with those traits.

Also, by that logic, these skill should also be affected by CD reduction traits.
it is only random when some traits affect others dont and only a part of the trait affects it.
It is only random? It’s a bug and should be fixed.

Neither Crack Shot, nor Merciless Hammer nor Sundering Mace reduce their weapon Burst skill. I’ll test myself if killshot actually pierces, because I’m not a really trusting soul
its basic info that Crack Shot works with Killshot also Merciless Hammer with Earthshaker.
and of course these traits don’t reduce burst CD because we have a trait line dedicated for that.
from my own memory i’m 90% positive that those 2 traits worked with the old GS burst anyway (can’t check for obv reasons) so i’d say it just got broken in the process.
why is anyone surprised?

Plenty of weapons bursts are affected even if their burst time isn’t shortened.
Sharpened axes, Axe Mastery, Crack shot, Burning Arrows, Sundering Mace, Merciless Hammer.
And even traits that only affect the damage output of the player if certain conditions are met affect the burst skills. Examples, Dual Wielding, Stick and Move, Berserkers Power, Unsuspecting Foe ( increases the critical chance), Attack of Opportunity, Cull the Weak, Desperate Power, Empowered, Destruction of the Empowered, Burst Mastery, Heightened Focus.
Some of those traits are meant for burst skills while others are just modifiers if certain conditions are met, All of them affect burst skills except for this one case. Arching slice is not affected by the proper trait, this is a bug because it goes against the design of literally every other weapon at the warriors disposal.
As for your point about the traits affecting the CD of burst skills. This is clearly negated by the fact that Burst Recharge is given a clear stat by the Discipline Trait line

None of the traits that affect weapons CD affect the burst skill because there is already a designated stat investment for reducing the CD of burst skills in the Discipline trait line. Kill shot does in fact pierce when traited, please take 5 seconds to test this in Heart of the Mists before stating that you have not in fact actually taken the time to research your own opinions.
Nice catch OP, I was just wondering about that yesterday because I was getting suspicious about it, but didn’t have the time to test it…
Hope this gets noted and fixed soon.
did anyone test it after yesterday patch ?
they stealth fixed retaliation might also fixed Arcing Slice too, currently im at work cant test it right now.
Forceful Greatsword is fixed.
Slashing Power seems to be fixed but there is no change to the tooltip of Arcing Slice.
