Back after 6 months WvW build?
If you’re going to run Hammer, you really should run Merciless Hammer.
Also, if Hammer is your main meat, then 30 into Discipline for Burst Mastery is key.
Something like this. Gets you an extra 50% crit whenever you use the burst, plus the burst will be on a 7.75s cooldown.
Looks great, Yeah i’m new to the whole ‘Hammer’ build so unsure what was good or bad.
So, how do I use this build? Stun with hammer then switch to sword and leap+slash?

So basically, the 0/10/30/0/30 hammer build really thrives inside a Hammer Train. But I roam with it all the time using Soldier armor, Melandru Runes, Soldier weps, with para in hammer, off set is Sw/Wh force+energy. Trinkets r all Ascended zerker in small scale change those to cav/soldier/sentinel if u run giant zergs or hammer trains specifically.
The playstyle I tend to go with roaming wise would be to earthshaker at full adren against any class since we can drop it every 7 seconds, if it connects drop hammer 2 then 5 then 4 then 3 to take advantage of your extra 50% crit. Against anything squishy if those all connect they are dead. Furthermore in WvW lemongrass and sharpening stones are a must Food allows us to take on any bunker 1v1, large group exploit fast hands with energy sigil and dodge around and leap to LoS all the time, It is extremely easy to bait ppl with this build since hammer isnt too well known for its burst but done right you can even get a FT off inside the stun which is around 7k for my build below 50%.

Using Soldiers Armour+Weapons with trinkets leaves me with pitiful Crit Damage and Crit chance !
I can exchange all my trinkets for Berzerker trinkets (Would this be better for roaming?) Or stick to all Soldiers for the Tough+Vitality?
Healing signet then greatsword shield and mace.

Tbh, i dont think you need to worry about crit chance since you get 50% from your trait when they are stunned, and rumour has it that the stun from earthshaker hits before the damage, so it has a high chance to crit. Alongside Fury buff (20%) you will have 79% crit on your Earthshaker, and maybe 1 or 2 attacks after that.
After that i would say leave Beserker trinkets and go for Cavalier, it basically is beserker with Toughness instead of precision, if i remember rightly anyway. I’m no expert at all and havn’t been playing the game long at all, so my judgement could be completly off
Why Sword is getting more play time than Axe as a dps weapon these days is Final Thrust. It does almost as much damage as a max Adrenaline Eviscerate. Also Axe #1 was recently changed so that the bulk of the damage was at the end of the chain, making it less appealing to PvP/WvW players.
I don’t know what you’re looking for in WvW, but here’s what I run. Haven’t tested it it in too many monster Zergs, but it performs pretty well just about everywhere else.
30% unbuffed crit + Fury + Unsuspecting Foe guarantees 100% crit chance on
Earthshaker and whatever else you can fit into that stun duration, as well as the Shield Bash > Final Thrust combo.
