I’ve been watching videos recently (specifically Skullagrim’s recent shield destruction video) and it makes lots of sense for warhammers to utterly destroy shields.

Shouldn’t the most obvious animation with the most power on a Warrior’s hammer be unblockable?

It gIves more strategic use for the skill as opposed to being just part of a stun chain, especially in a time where Warriors simply aren’t relevant.

And honestly, I think it would be kittening sweet to crush a little Chronomancer with a mighty swing.

Thoughts?

I think it’s a good idea, would give Warr hammer a good niche vs Heralds/Chronos without having to slot signet of might. But any Hammer build will be awful as long as Primal Hammer burst is awful. There’s this silly meme where people say that taking berserker is detrimental to warrior but in quite a lot of ways it’s power creep just like any of the other elite specs.

Except in the case of hammer of course where you get an incredibly bad Primal Burst

Or at least be a Blast Finisher…..

Hammer Primal Burst is pretty solid imo, large area effect, immob, daze, and blast finisher…. by far one of my fav bursts. (Compared to crap like sword burst….)
Plus immob removal if you have the trait.
The only issue with it might be the fact that it’s a directional skill, the attack goes forth from where you land, as opposed to a circle aoe around you, so if you use it incorrectly, you miss.

Hammer primal suffers from same problem as LB primal. It’s hard to place then right.

I really dig the Backbreaker Unblockable, as it is only single-target and can force a dodge from a blocking opponent.
