Just a theory, I haven’t done much GvG:
Full Healing Power gear and food, plus a stacked Sigil nets you around 2.4k Healing Power, which results in ~400 Regen per tick. Because the regen seems to cap around 30-40 seconds very quickly, you can usually get regen on a large group with just one or two banners. Plus since the fight takes place in a small area, you should be able to stay in range of them at all times. Just throw them down before the charge and make sure they are all brought into the fight by your guildies.
Run Tactics and Discipline for increased Crit Damage and Boon Duration.
Run a Hammer for Control (damage isn’t too important) and Sword/Warhorn for Boon Converting.
I think having one Warrior run it in a GvG would make a significant difference. More than having a generic damage Warrior, imo.

Deanie, thats almost exactly the build I was running. traited hammer with sword-warhorn (traited). I subbed out tactics for strength though. I suppose getting as much vigor-stability uptime in more important. So I might wanna try your suggestion next time.
Since we were not short on warriors I figured I’d give it a try. The only thing is the kitten ed cast time. Kinda means you’re sitting there for a second of two exposed.
But is it necassary to change all my trinkets? How well do banner regens scale with healing power?

I dont recommend apoc stuff for warrior since the cost/benefit ratio is really not that good (healpo gives less than 1 extra healhp per stat on shoutheals, regen boost isn’t worth writing about too).
One thing you might want to get into is multiple warbanners tho. On top of giving everyone around that second wind, main reason you want it is to get a bunch of your people up in the middle of the fight. also, if enough warbanners are dropped, all that might and bonuses do add up.

I pretty much recommend going all or nothing with Healing Power because it scales slowly. You need over 1k just to double the effect of regen.
Regen = 130 + (0.125 * Healing Power) per second
I have a full ascended (minus backpiece) Healing Power set for Deany and like I said it nets me around 2.4k HP when fully buffed, which puts my regen ticks between 400 and 450. I don’t run the build that often because it’s boring as hell but every time I do I can see the difference it makes.
I mean, 400 regen on a group of players, that’s nothing to scoff at. It’s like an extra heal for everyone every 12-15 seconds depending on the class, plus the banner buffs.
