Hi all, I’m looking to gear up my warrior for roaming, been looking through a couple of the builds on here.

I’m curious to see what you guys think is a good 1vX Roaming build. I’d prefer something not glass cannon (i.e. all berserk). How are condition warriors, as compared to other classes with condition specs (like BM Regen Ranger, Rabid Mesmer with Torch)? Maybe a good hybrid build?

if you want some consistency in 1vx you dont have many options. you will need healing stats to get plenty sustain and that will nerf your damage, and you will need either shout healing or banner regen and a warhorn for condition cleansing. luckily in wvw not a whole lot of people run condition cleansing, i have a lot of success with my build, can even fight inside enemy zergs aslong as they dont all focus me im pretty fine taking out 1 after another with a condi spike and immobilize chain (leg specialist →flurry -> pin down). when i get damage i have options to weaken stuff around me and get vigor, burst heal me up and use sword 2 to get out of immediate danger. with my passive and active healing i can shrug off the damage of at least 1 target passively except if they run full zerker or condi glasscannon, or also just ignore most aoe damage, conditions are easily and consistently cleansed with cleansing ire, warhorn and shake it off. for 1vx id say something like my condi bunker build or maybe cleric or the equivalent of valkyrie gear with crit and hammer. though the hammer burst draws a lot of attention and you will get focused a lot more. talking strictly about soloing here, if you have a guardian buddy or something like that, you get more options for builds.

I use GS + mace shield. No healing stats. You can’t 1v2 unless they are really bad and/or you can down one really fast. Use GS + bullsrush for mobility.

Worst advice I have ever seen. I am Hammer mace/sh and have zero issues taking multiple people at once and winning, I’ll upload me vs 3 necros and winning this week.

To be a roamer you have to be strong. This isn’t PvD bullkitten where you tag people and get free xp all the time. If you’re gonna be serious about roaming, you have to understand that unless you bring top mobility to gain control over your fighting it’s very likely you will get run down by zergs sometimes..

My current wuvwuv build is a zerky melandru style with an optimised knight/zerk armorset, fullon melandru runes, dogged march, mobile strikes, bullrush,leek&poultry soup, zerky backpane and gs/swdmace.

With this you have a medium-strong zerk with strong defenses, condi self cleansing/no management and serious mobility to avoid randomzergs, get away from chasers and be able to CHOOSE YOUR FIGHTS. Which is a big deal.

If you aren’t running Melandru+Dogged+Lemongrass you shouldn’t even consider roaming solo.

That combination + Cleansing Ire+Burst Mastery+Berserker stance will ensure you kitten all over everyone else.
