Best armour stay choice please help
Yeah knights is always good imo.
I’ve been doing EXP with a set group for awhile now. We’ve got 1 guardian 1 warrior both running knight. We opted to go a tanky survability build- it might take 2 more mins to kill a boss but in return we never die (down at most).
You should give a tough for getting a bit more crit dmg % and less something else. Like rate. I personaly got 20/20/0/0/30. My rate is 50% normaly. With ulti 70%. With adrenaline full 82%., 12% dmg boost +114% crit dmg. 3200dmg(or was it attack, the lower one was over 2000). My Defense is low, I know. Just didn’t do any better as bulky warrior build.
GS is medium dmg high mobility weapon. Maybe average on spvp and good on normal monsters. Not so good on dungeons. I would accept it as good in WvWvW what ever others might think. Rifle is absolutely the most important weapon in dungeons as you should not go melee with bosses and it is best ranged single target weapon.
At the end I would give this advice:
Play with the weapons you like. Learn how those works. The looks of the weapons are just bonus, important for enjoyment of the game. Everything works so well that you can manage well on PvE.
As a hint for PvE greatsword usage: First throw the sword. let the monster come at you, use hundred blades, spin to distance and then use the run skill to get back. I personaly never used the burst skill of greatsword. Dunno why should have done it…
I have readed that the Auto attack (1) skill does the best damage of the all skills. Others should be some kind of less damage skills with special effect. Lets examine rifle and greatsword.
Rifle: (1) skill, good damage. (2) skill is for cripling the enemy (not so good damage). (3) is for good ammount of adrenaline with multiple not so strong shots(together strong tough). (4) is for making enemy 5% weaker on damage. (5) is for interuptin/pushing back with good damage. If enemy flees shoot it with Burst(F1) skill. Long time to cast and result is high damage and mostly dead target.
Greatsword: (1) good wide area damage. (2) Good damage with multiple fast hits which regenerates adrenaline like Volley does (rifle 3rd skill). (3) spin trough enemy giving either distance or closing the cap between you and the enemy (movement). (4) criple runing or attacking enemy by throwing a greatsword at it (enemy control skill). (5) Catch your target with runing and little hit as punish for not coming near you itself. Also can be used as movement skill to run away. F1 skill… well, weak skill, good crit rate tought… good on low levels when your crit rate is low OR when you go back to low level area as higher level and you will get downgraded to low level. This skill will still have good rate to crit.

People seems using word “trolling” out of context way too often…
Knights and Valkyrie ftw, I just mix parts from both stat types.
