Hi all! I’m new to gw2 and i picked up playing a warrior. Ive been doing a lot of spvp mainly playing GS/Bow but i’m wondering what the best build for spvp is?

Healing shouts… Cele… From what I’ve heard…

Shoutbow (look it up on metabattle.com). But a lot of other builds still work if you find that boring.

Ur pretty much stuck with bow imo in this meta. Im using hammer with it, soldier amulett with melandru runes for a lil extra power to get that lil extra dmg for 1v1 as ranked solo is random with who u get on ur side

I tried shoutbow. I really disliked it. I want to go in and do mass damage. I tried hambow and its alright but i like the greatsword playstyle

You can try the GS instead of the Longbow, with a build with hammer and gs in berserker. And use the classic 0/0/6/2/6 traits, that work very good. If you want you can change endure pain with bull rush to stun your enemy, but you already stun them with the hammer.

That build can deal great damage. But frequently deal lesser damage than the shoutbow or the axebow. That’s because the enemy can just dodge or be invulnerable to your 100Blades and all your damage fall to 0, or reduce it’s damage with blind, dodge at the mid of the skill, etc.

And it’s in berserker, then it’s very hard to play. Because when you run out of your endure pain there’s nothing that you can do to don’t fall dead in 10 seconds against a good dps class. You can only try to kill our enemy first.

I play axebow and I always kill every GS users that I find in tournaments. Only some gs war in spvp can deal me good damage, all the others die quickly.

But everyhting is based on your playstile. If you like it, you can play it.

GS/Longbow works fine, I’m a fan of the GS playstyle as well. Is not as faceroll as the other builds you actually got to know what the heck you’re doing.

Like others have mentioned shoutbow is really strong in sPvP right now. Since you wanna run GS/Longbow though you’ll have to make sure that your teammates already fulfill the roles you guys need to win the game. Like if you have a bunker guardian, a shoutbow war and 2 survival rangers on your team you going GS/Longbow would fill a nice niche that that specific team comp could benefit from. If you have a full glass canon team it may be best to support them with shoutbow.
