Q:
I run a GS/Rifle build and currently aiming for Superior Rune of the Eagle for the prec/crit dmg. Don’t know if aiming for a rune with power would be better or not.
Could use advice. Thanks.
This would be for WvW and PvE. Really only do PvP for dailies and not worried about it.

Ruby/Emerald Orbs
If u will be using Bers armor and jewelry(with ruby) u’ll have critical chance -41%,its more than enough for pve/www … In this case, Superior Rune of the Scholar better than Superior Rune of the Eagle.
Scholar or Ogre. Even Rune of the Thief wouldn’t be bad because the 10% damage increase from attacking behind or beside is pretty reliable.
Looks like power runes would be better then precision. The only problem i have is with rune of the scholar in that in WvW i rarely spend time in a fight with my health at 90%+(i don’t like to just sit at the back), making me feel as if that would be like wasting one of the five bonuses. As for Ogre i might give it a shot, but is the rock dog really worth it? i see them all the time and usually they just evaporate.
What about rune of the mad king? Would that be worth it with the rifle?
I actually run a Might stacking build through Forceful Greatsword and use 2 Monk, 2 Water, and 2 Hoelbrak/Fire/Strength. It doesn’t have the obvious damage right there in the stats, but for PvE you will certainly have no trouble slamming things with 25 stacks of Might. Obviously this is a little harder to achieve in WvW, although I never bother swapping out my armor because I love my boon duration.
Ruby Orbs or Runes of the Scholar. Runes of the Scholar are better if you’re spamming Killshot in wvw or something.
