Im looking for some runes for my CoF gear, im basically looking for pure dps, I was thinking of possibly the runes of divinity, but not sure. Any recomendations?

Pure DPS? As in, absolutely nothing else? Ruby Orbs

6x Exquisite Ruby Jewels will give you:

+120 power
+12% crit damage
+84 precision (4% crit chance)

The Eagle set will give:

+165 precision (7.86% crit chance)
+8% crit damage
+5% damage when targets are less than 50%

Personally I went for Eagle as it takes me closer to 100% crit chance, and the +5% damage scales nicely with higher stats, where-as +150 power on its own isn’t that amazing. Then again, I use a GS for pure DPS and all of the might it generates more than makes up for losing 150 power, and those might stacks scale up with the 5% damage bonus.

That’s good too. The question is, do you spend most of your fights with targets that are <50% HP?

If the answer is yes, then you’re winning out. If its no, you should go with the orbs.

vs players, I usually open with a big burst before they can react which takes them to about that level. Then they react, and you’ll want all the damage you can get your hands on to drop them.

vs dungeon bosses: +5% more damage for half the fight is always nice

vs world events/farming: glass cannon warrior destroys mobs anyway

Rune of the Scholar is the best DPS rune.

165 power, 8% crit damage and 10% overall damage. It’s very easy to hit 50% base crit, and with a proper dps set up you’ll have 100% fury uptime, Banner of Discipline (for another 3% crit/10% crit damage), and hp leech food (for another 3% crit) as well as taking Heightened Focus for 9% crit, since you should always have full adrenaline.

Basically, you won’t need precision off runes and +damage is the best stat for a full dps build where you already have tons of power/precision. The caveat is that you have to keep your hp above 90%, but if you don’t think that’s possible than going Ruby Orbs is best.

+10% damage while your health is above 90%. One hit and you lose that bonus.

Exquisite Ruby Jewels can only be used in rings, amulets and accessories.
Ruby Orbs can be used in any equipment and have lower stats than jewels.
Runes can be used on armor only.
Sigils can be used on weapons only.
