Saddest thing is, I actually play warrior :P I got champion legionnaire a while ago and this is a warrior’s point of view. You guys make me laugh:

Do we need to? No, I can certainly own most opponents as well as I did before the update. In fact the dps from hammer isn’t entirely from staggering blow and earthshaker. They haven’t nerfed the auto attack or backbreaker.

The most invalid excuse I have read over and over again. You do know we have more than 2 ccs. If my opponent dodges my staggering blow + backbreaker, well I can just use earth shaker before he gets endurance back. B*** please.

You people are so bias and ignorant, heck, this is probably why nothing is balanced. Devs listen to you all and that’s really pathetic when this game could be so much more diverse.

Yes – you betcha!

Arms VII—Unsuspecting Foe: Moved to the Master tier.
Discipline XI—Burst Mastery: Reduced the damage increase from 10% to 7%. Removed the erroneous adrenaline gain fact.
Earthshaker: Reduced the damage by 20%.
Staggering Blow: Reduced the damage by 23%.

what is this thread about?

We have to go almost full zerker to get the same damage as before that update. And they nerfed ES (stun) and staggering blow (knockback) by 20% just like they said. However after Dec 10 many of us are picking up DotE in the major discipline slot (more boons you have more we hurt) and/or cull the weak in defense.

the damage is already reduced.
go play a warrior to see if warriors are indeed overpowered as you claim they may be.

If you eat a 100B ‘cause you didn’t bring a stunbreak, it’s your own fault. The Hammer isn’t a high damage option anymore – which is the control weapon. Sure, GS and Axe still hit like a truck, but have no control.

The damage on a soldiers hammer warrior is actually pretty underwhelming unless you get fury and some might stacks going.

Pre-nerf hammer warriors could go soldiers and get around the same damage zerk hammer warriors are getting now, if not more.

yup. i was trying out sPvP valkyrie amulet + zerker jewel earlier along with lyssa runes but then i realized i go down very quickly in messy team fights. not contributing much when i’m kissing the floor often.

then i went full sPvP soldiers amulet + soldiers jewel and full dolyak runes.

at least i dun go down that often anymore, can plaster the floor with fire field, then area might with long bow 3, then swap for earthshaker blast again together with aoe stun. doesn’t matter if my base damage is low, i can stack might easily with both burst skills non stop.

They only nerfed staggering blow and Earthshaker. So i really dont understand what you’re saying by “biggest lie of the Dec 10 update.” Because they did exactly what they said they would do. no lying at all.

Did i say you have to go full zerker to be effective? I said we have to to get the same DPS. Scrubs will be scrubs. Youll still annihilate most people in WvW, but that can easily be done by any class since WvW is filled with bads.

You realize people have 2 dodges right? Not to mention energy sigils, vigor, blocks, blinds, stability, etc etc

There is only one group of people who think hammer is fine. That is hammer warriors. Everyone else finds itas gimmicky as thieve’s who habitually over use stealth and Pu mesmers. Which incidentally, the only people who think they’re fine are the people who play those builds. Everyone else just finds them annoying.
