Guild Wars 2

I have made myself a bleed based build for sword + axe. I am using this – http://www.gw2db.com/skill-builds/1189-bleed-warrior .
My gear is almost exclusively rampager’s (cond dmg + power + precision). Crit rate atm is 66%. With traits i can stack solo 12 to 20 bleeds on a single foe with 4-9 vulnerabililites.
I am using superior sigil of bloodlust on axe (axe came with it so keeping it) and Superior sigil of rage on the sword (quickness can ramp up the bleeds to 20-25)
Here are the 2 things i want some input about:

- What runes should i use here ? I am using 6x coral orb atm into my exotics until i find an option i like. I was looking at:
* 5x Krait + 1 divinity maybe
* 3x Aflicted + 3x Krait (although that may make reaching x25 bleeds too easy)
* some other option maybe

- Is the superior sigil of rage the best thing i can do here ? Maybe use another sigil in the sword to replace it ?

Theres a problem with a condition damage build that I don’t know if you’ve considered or not, but I thought i’d let you know.

The max amount of stacks a monster can have is 25. So 25 Bleeds, 25 Vulnerabilities etc..

The problem arises when you are with a group – if any1 else applies bleeds you will get to 25 fairly quickly and be left with just your power and crits to do damage.

If you are okay with this, then carry on =)

I am well aware of that. but prom personal experience most ppl go for power + crit builds and not bleeds, so most of the time i am doing 80+ % of the bleeding.

Even at doing 100% of the bleed dmg tho you’re still not doing as much as the power+crit wars in damage, so at 80% you’re pretty weak if damage is your goal.

Condition builds are pretty sick in wvw and spvp for us atm tho if those are also your goals.

I love this type of warrior and have spec’d and geared for it. Like any other profession/spec choice, it is viable, just not perfect for everything. I use sword/axe too and there is great debate on what weapon set is better. In all, if you like it . . . do it.

To the OP, I crafted my own gear. I chose to use rampager armor (power/precision/condition damage), then put power/vitality/cond. damage on my trinkets. Good balance I think. I also seriously thought about the 3 afflicted/krait runes, but in the end decided that a full set of the undead runes was a better fit with all the toughness I had traited for. Give it some thought.

oh and on sigils, I chose to use earth mainhand and agony off-hand. I still debate that on a daily basis and have been seriously tempted to put a life=steal in main hand with a 5% damage sigil in the off-hand

I think you are really missing out with the Runes of the Orrian, they are fantastic for bleed builds.

However this one may be a bit more fragile than the one you have but it more than makes up for it with it’s Chain, Stuns/fears, immobilze’s.
