OK so I was just wondering one thing, does the arms 5 trait “Precise Strikes,” which gives a 33% chance to bleed on crits, together with the superior sigil of earth, which gives a 60% chance to bleed on crits, add together when both being used?

which would give 93% to bleed on crits!

as a high crit and damage build you could ALSO apply a pretty decent amount of bleed damage without actually being a bleed spec (meaning you can do extra damage to those with no condition removal and you wouldnt be completely useless against those who do have). for example, a high crit and CC hammer warrior with 93% chance to bleed on crits would not only be able to apply lots of control but also decent condition damage.

ive tried testing it on dummies and stuff in the heart of the mists, and so far most my crits apply bleeds, but it just seems like too many dont for 93%. so my real question is, am i just unlucky atm or do the percentages not stack?

There is an internal CD on all “on crit chance proc” sigils. It varies depending on what sigil it is; check the guildwars2 wiki for the internal cd.

Call me when this game gets fixed…. if it ever does….

The percentages do not stack, but you can proc bleeds from multiple different sources (so yes, you have a 60% chance to proc bleed from sigil, and you also have a separate 33% chance to proc the trait bleed).

The bleeds are varied in damage depending on the source, too. Earth sigil bleeds are short and tick for lower damage than a 1-hand sword’s bleeds, for example. Also, the sigil has a 2 second internal cooldown.

IMO the best use of that trait is getting the 10% damage to bleeding targets without using a weapon that bleeds by default, like axe for example. I’ll sometimes use axe and select the +50% bleed duration trait, and with its fast attacks if I’m using a reasonably high crit build there’s bleeds up almost constantly in PvE and still pretty often against other players.

yea the +10% damage to bleeding targets is what i use it for atm, my 100b combo and all axe attacks deal more damage when set up that way. allows me to put a bit into survivability and still get very nice numbers.

and thats slightly disappointing, the internal CD and how the traits dont add up lol but im glad i know that now, thnx for the info
