Blood Reckoning
Blood Reckoning is really good in PVE. Use it like you would use troll urgent, pop it every time its off cooldown. Other than that i cannot help you, because Blood reckoning does indeed suck in every other mode of play.

In PvE, it is very good. In scenarios where you are against a group of mobs, it is essentially a full heal as long as you don’t get cc’d. It also completely fills your adrenaline while in berserk and puts your primal burst off cooldown, which lets you get more out of your berserk. This can also be used to get a little extra cc out of your mace.
In instanced content where you’re probably running a PS build, it is almost essential. With the power PS build it will give 5 might when you use it, which makes stacking might quickly much easier. With the condi PS build you need the extra primal burst to have competitive damage.
The beauty of the skill is that it is used offensively. In PvP scenarios where you actually need a heal then it is not the best. Also, PvE scenarios where you are likely to get cc’d and are under a lot of pressure without a dedicated healer are not somewhere you’d want to run this. However just because it isn’t good in all scenarios doesn’t mean it needs a change.
Hopefully that gives some useful insight. GLHF

please don’t! not unless you’re berserking and your primal burst is on recharge, or when you’re expecting a need to heal up
@Lumpy, yes pop it every time it’s off cooldown. Every 15 seconds getting 5% Damage returned as healing for 5 seconds is something you want active as much as possible.
Blood reckoning is not a burst heal. it’s a heal based on how much damage you are throwing out. Sure, it recharges all your burst skills but by the time you cast it, most of your burst skills will be off cooldown anyway, and you should be swapping weapons every 5 seconds anyway so you should always have a burst skill off cooldown. As long as you are playing aggressive (and in PVE you should be) you will find that having 5 seconds of 10% damage returned as healing, while building massive amounts of adrenaline will be a massive boon.
Another interesting thing about blood reckoning, It actually is less effective on berserker than it would be on vanilla. Here’s why.
- Berserker already massively increases your adrenaline gain. In this case Blood reckining is wasted as you already have headbutt, Berserker’s stance, and weapon swaps for adrenaline gain.
- Primal bursts are already on ridiculously low cooldowns. in this case refreshing them is pointless as you can only 1: use one at a time 2: always have one off cooldown because you can swap weapons every 5 seconds.
- Blood reckoning does not convert condition damage to healing, so the main build which may want to use it has no synergy with it whatsoever.

it’s a burst heal if you are doing a lot of damage, and yes, it does convert condition damage to healing; just use Pin Down > Blood Reckoning without attacking anymore and you’ll see
Basically you use it when you have burst available combo ready. So like right after you put your primal burst on CD and your 100 blades are ready. The healing signet only heals more if you’re constantly damaged, there is a thing as over healing. Most damage comes in burst rather than a consistent flow, so the burst heal is usually more valued. Also restorative strength rewards spamming your active heal by giving you and your allies might, while signet generally is kept passive. You could argue that the signet has an active as well on the same cool down. However, the signet has one of the longest activation timer of all warrior heal skills which could get you killed.
PvP: Healing Signet or Defiant Stance on some YOLO builds.
Instanced PvE as a PS Warrior: Blood Reckoning because it gives 5 might stacks on activation and refreshes your Primal Bursts (only advantage besides CD comparing with To the Limit!)
Instanced PvE as a Burnzerker: Most run Healing Signet. Rotation doesn’t make necessary to spam primal bursts.
Raids:Blood reckoning as a PS but Defiant Stance might become handy in some fights to stand in AOE’s if your squad is easily maintaining 25 might stacks.
WvW: Don’t know, been almost a year since the last time I played there.
If you area having a hard time surviving use Omnomberry Ghost/Pie or Mango Pie to have some regeneration.
