Bring skill to warrior and suggestions
To be honest, I don’t understand what your post is there for 100%
could you tell me what your goal is? ^^
Make fast hands base line,
introduce new minor trait:
Precised Hands,
gain 2 seconds of fury whenever you swap weapon, 4 seconds cooldown.

why the cooldown, you can’t swap after 4 sec within combat anyway, or has that changed?
While I’d love to have an aoe blind on Reckless Dodge, it cuts both ways. Having a warrior or two on each side of a fight, along with Blinding Dissipation Mesmers and Blinding Powder Thieves, would probably kill melee combat.
Short duration protection or aegis would be nice though (maybe 2-3s). Protection would probably be better for everything outside of duels though. Main reason? Melee has become much more dangerous than it was, with everyone spamming whatever they have, especially ground targeted skills whenever a melee cluster forms. At least, that’s been my experience.
I still fully support Fast Hands made baseline on the grounds that pretty much all warriors run it anyway, and so making it baseline should unlock more build diversity by making it so all warriors don’t feel compelled to trait Discipline, without leading to any appreciable power creep. There may be some more skilled play in there somewhere, I’m not sure.
Broadly speaking, if we really wanted more skilled play, we’d probably need something good for that (maybe still incoming?) F2, more elaborate weapon combo possibilities, and/or much better sustain given the diminished value of armor these days.
The latter is more to keep us in a fight to execute more skilled play. I’m not sure how to inject skill into that sustain short of injecting it into weapon skills or revamping our utilities somewhat.
EDIT: More skills that function like Impale/Rip may be a way to get more mileage and skill play out of our weapon skills. Not the specific effects of that skill, but more the idea that using a skill opens up the option to have that skill do something else. It could facilitate weapons having more than one purpose, and it could easily lead to more skillful play.

Rip skill change
Pull the enemy towards you and rip the sword for extra damage.
@above, protection aegis way too op, not for war. too many blind? nerf mesmer’s blind, not our problem, have you heard too many dodges for warrior? me either.
(edited by lighter.2708)
Not too many dodges for the sake of a dodge, but between energy sigil and pretty good vigor uptime, I’d be putting out a lot of blinds. Put a few melee warriors in a fight and I’d expect melee combat to be crimped pretty hard, even without thieves and mesmers around.
Why do you think 2s of protection on a dodge would be too op? And, for that matter, more op than aoe blind? I’d find the blind more op, to be honest.
As for the multiple uses for a weapon skill, other examples include mace 2, sword 5, engi shield 4, etc. Basically, allowing us more combat options within the existing constraints of the combat system.

Lists of ideas to make banners PvP viable.
Whenever holding a banner gives 600 extra toughness (baseline)
Banners are instantly picked up (baseline)
Replace all banner 5th skills with
When you have placed your banner, re summon the banner to your place, knock back the enemies around it and deal damage (30CD)
will update later with more ideas.
Another idea for rip skill
Rip the sword from your enemy removes 2 boons.
Idea for burst mastery
Replace the 7% damage increase with
Shatter(Remove) 2 boons when you hit your enemy with burst skill
rename it to, Shattering burst.

except dodge – blind trait , some good ideas
Stomp (Physical skill) needs to be cancel able like rampage and other long casting skills.
Extra idea: Physical skill able to cast while weapon swaping, like how eles can cast fire skill while swaping to air. Physical needs to be able to mid cast while weapon swaping, so you can combo with brawler’s recovery to remove blind for more reliable physical skill hit.

u cant just nerf another proffessions skills to incoperate them into your own lol, not really how things work, neither does Warriors wielding blind..
Ur a Ferious Berseker… a Master of Arms… you hack and Slash not Precision and Tactics… u overwhelm ur opponants through brute force Not Dirty tricks :P…. try to keep the Core of What a Warrior actually is within it…
Although im all for bringing the skill floors up on proffessions i dont think it’ll happen, u need a range of difficulties to suit Players of all backgrounds.
Really weak tactic minor traits and has minimum synergy
determined revival
OKish
Reviver’s Might
really weak, 3 might for reviving has no use.
Inspiring Presence
10 healing power for 1 might, without boon duration, it’s almost impossible to have really high might stack, mostly around 15..that’s 150 healing power, and that only comes after a period of time of fighting..
Let’s look at other classes’ support line minor traits.
Under the effect of regeneration, gain up to 250 healing power…easily 25 might worth of inspiring presence
when you use heal, you cleanse condition for nearby allies.
Ele,
outgoing heal increase 15%..directly by 15%..
lighter, you know a forum isn’t really the appropriate place to jot down your ideas unless you’re bring them up for discussion, right? It’s not a notepad.
There’s a good chance a mod will shut down the thread if they realize what you’re doing. May want to copy paste these somewhere else before they do too.

Ideas for tactic minors
Inspiring presence:
idea 1, each might grant 20 healing power, might duration increase by 10%
idea 2, gain healing power based on your adrenaline, 100 per level.
Reviver’s might
Idea 1, when reviving, grant 5 stacks of might for your allies around you, including yourself for 10 seconds.
idea 2, when reviving, cast for shake it off
idea 3, gain resistance to yourself and your target ally when reviving.
determined survival
idea 1, gain 600 toughness
idea 2, your revive speed increase as your endurance decrease, up to 15% speed increase for empty endurance.
@above i’m open for discussion, what do you want to discuss?

New idea for when fast hand made base line
Asura shockwave:
whenever you swap weapon, you create a shockwave damage nearby foes, apply vulnerability and a short duration of cripple. ICD 4 seconds
Offtopic:
Tbh even they make fast hands base line, discipline line is still way too good to give up, imo.
Arms line needs huge buff, so is tactic line.

Why not add all your ideas to the first post instead of spamming posts and ideas all over the place which makes it hard to read?
I would love to see mace f1 being more reliable, like eviscerate “lil leap”.Havent seen mace warr in ages, might be one of the reasons… .
And if traited bolas,it would be nice if it would have some side effect appart of CD reduction.
On My Mark should be more of a roar/shout that also causes 3 sec. stuns with a 20 sec . cd.

No animation and instant 3 second stun with1200 range you can do even if you are stunned or disabled with 20 seconds (untraited) cooldown. Sounds fair enough.

Lol, and it should distribute beer and pizza to all allies within range too….

One way to deal with kiters, it’s pretty prevalent in most games except for the beer and pizza. Oh and it should break stealth also.
It’s the fear / taunt factor that should be associated with a hardcore melee type.

You do realise that 3s instant stun with 20s cooldown would be a bit OP?
Warrior can already be punishing enough if you are out of Stunbreaks and/or stability.
And we already have fear and its AoE one. Sure its long cooldown, but thats how it should be because its an utility skill. If anything, On my mark should have 5 second reveal tied to it.

Fear is wack, reveal is kool but it don’t stop the joker from running a marathon and blinking away. We don’t get a break from being focused with conds. and our stab. is so so now. We lost bleeding and blind on rifle, our main mechanic adrenaline is non existent out of combat, our speed has been nerfed at least twice, elevation changes does havok to allot of our attacks plus everyone is not a twitch player.
But we are still here if we can attempt to adapt why can’t others. I guess there’s allot of skill involved in standing back and ranging a non ranger/caster who can’t do likewise or going invisible and recharging your main mechanic. Give us the ability to skillfully play by just running around and spreading aoe condi damage or chunk bombs accurately without line of site or not being in the area of attack.
Not hating on other classes but man they sure did do precision hating on us, and gloated about it after the ax fell again and again. I digress “We complained because bad players were too good because of their skills, now that their skills have changed they don’t play anymore. GOOD mission accomplished!!!”
Melee are held to a higher standard for some reason while at the same time ridiculed constantly. We just want a little love since we are paying customers also.
If warriors are so mind numbing simple to play what do that say about the organised warrior haters who spend so much time on this forum suggesting ridiculous changes and opposing everything that may bring substance to our class?
