I think one of the few big things Anet could do for the warrior right know is to simply make the mainhand mace basic attack respond faster, because as of now, it swings moments after you hit the attack key. If they did this, it might actually make dual mace viable. Of course there are many other things they could improve too, but what are your opinions on this?
Agree, mace was my favorite weapon way back when I loved my warrior to no end, but the counter never hits, the #3 never hits and the stun lol good luck making it hit.
Mace really just needs an all-around faster recovery on its attacks, it should be as fast as the axe, Maces are NOT slow weapons.

Haha, History Channel. Really though, crazy as it sounds, I’ve done armored combat before and you can really do amazing things with a mace. I’d love to see them get their due glory.
I mean it’s as simple as that too, if they were only faster they’d be great. I got into an epic battle with a D/D ele earlier while I was trying dual mace again and it went on for about 3-5 minutes simply because the attacks weren’t fast enough (and we kept healing but besides that)
Yes, and according to history channel, warrior and guardian should get a dagger to finish downed players.
An animation where you kneel down and stab the person in the face instead of putting a flag on them haha.

The responsiveness of both mace and hammer are truly awful really. I don’t mind the lower attack rate, but the hours long windups (in addition to being insanely obvious w/ hammer) are incredibly annoying and keep axe as my preferred mainhand for almost anything.

2844 attack power → 1349 damage
Sword 4 of Mesmer:
Same as above
Mace 2 of warrior:
2800 attack power → 674 damage
Perfect balance
I also agree that mace MH attack should be sped up. Also i hope one day that we get a flail, watching that video just got me thinking how a dual flail attack would look like.

Description is wrong on mace 2. Mace 4 has the same amount of attack in des, now use it, and use 2 again. Difference is huge. Check it before posting again as i been running mace/mace a bit (in fact i runs every weapon combo except oh axe)
Mace needs a buff, no doubt about it, the main thing that its needs its faster animations, some mobility or at least some long cripples. Mace F1 should be a leap and use dmg boost, its pretty weak as it is.

YES. The range on the F1 for mace is horrid and almost never hits.
